BTW - similar arguments can be made at the other end of the spectrum: Would have made sense to remove the tax shelters and immunities of the 100s of companies who send 10s of millions of dollars and 100s of thousands of jobs overseas just to reduce their US tax burden ... while we have 100s of thousands unemployed workers right here at home.
you know damned well my numbers are accurate... on the low end if anything.. As for the second part of your post...I'm with you 100 % big guy. Bush was a progressive as well, but was driving us towards the cliff a hell of a lot slower that Obama and his cronies.

Mr. Lincoln I wish you were here, I don't think it's working like you planned....
I think the majority of both sides want to cut the deficit, but differ on how. The impression I have is that the Republicans want to put the pain on everyone who is not rich. The Democrats don't. I could be wrong, it's just my impression. And yes, I do have Foxnews.com as a bookmark on my phone and my home computer.

Please do not pretend that the House cares about polls...
Hey big guy... you said "the relative few"... choose your words a little more carefully and I won't pick you apart..

and related to stricter gun control laws, the repubs see the true agenda of the far left...which is to chip away at law abiding citizens' right to bear arms...until there is nothing left. It is a well documented socialist agenda.

and I guess you are going to take the position that Gun control is going to take guns out of the hands of the drug cartels and criminals on the streets who don't "Play by the rules"?

You are right! Those getting the freebies will always vote for those that will keep handing out. If someone is down and out and honestly needs help, sure help that person get back on their feet. Most that ride the system could work but they won't. Ever see the do not feed the bears sign at a park? The reason for it is if we feed them over time they lose survival skills and won't take care of themselves. They will sit there with their paws out lol

you keep using words that show you are listening to Fox News, Rush and wingnuts.. I will admit Obama has spent money but given the situation he encountered it had to be done. W was the one who sped this up though.. well, it happened on his watch. You can't start 2 wars AND cut taxes.

The ACA is essentially a Republican idea...

Also, military spending isn't a drop in the bucket. You know what is? Head Start. But, military spending goes on while little kids get the shaft, just like furloughed workers...

You give me too much credit ... I don't know that your numbers are accurate.

Re: deficits - Have you seen what the deficit did under Bush? It ballooned. Pedal to the metal, heading towards the cliff.

Do you know how much it grew under Obama?

It didn't. It shrunk. Brakes on.

But I think I understand where you're coming from a lot better now, "Bush was a progressive". I KNEW it ... I always did think he was on Pelosi's secret payroll!!

OK, it's clear you are one of those guys..

good luck, I know it's hard but lashing out at everyone else while supporting the people doing this to you is a headscratcher.. They saw you coming from a mile away. I hope you don't donate to politicians..
