Thread: Will Brown Play LT?

  1. #11
Apparently, Matt Williamson of ESPN reads the forum:

Matt Williamson@WilliamsonNFL12mMight Levi Brown be the #Steelers LG in 2014? Better run blocker than in protection, heavy feet for edge

I doubt he'll be here in 2014; he makes too much $$.

Sign Starks on the cheap, put him at LT and let Brown play LG now.

Starks has lost it. He has played 7 total downs this year and whiffed badly on 2 of them. His time is over.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, hear the lamentations of their women.

If anything...I am going to think this slammed the door shut on Matthews or Lewan. I'd still prefer Boyd or Watkins from Clemson.
Rara's very early 2015 NFL Mock Draft
Round 1- Jalen Collins, CB; LSU
Round 2- Eric Lefeld, OT; Cincinatti
Round 3- Tyler Kroft, TE; Rutgers
Round 4- Geneo Grissom, OLB; Oklahoma
Round 5- Jonathon Mincy, CB; Auburn
Round 6- Jamil Douglas, OG; Arizona State
Round 7- Spencer Roth, P; Baylor

You do realize that he has a couple years left on his contract...right?

True, but I believe it's been reported that his guaranteed money ends after this season though.

    Correct...

It's the best of both worlds for the Steelers: If he plays well, he's under contract for a few more years. If not, he can be cut with no future cap implications....

    1) We still have another turd of an OT to replace.

    2) Levi Brown is also a turd.
