Over the last 25 years, the Steelers have started 0-2 four times.

They finished with a winning record in each of the four seasons, making the playoffs three times."

But...those 4 teams had far better talent than this current team. And their offensive coordinator actually played the game of football before.

I'm not defending Haley's play calling of late, but his not having played didn't seem to hurt him the first half of last season (before Ben got hurt)...

It is Haley's idea that this team can run the ball behind a line that isn't built to do that. Or the fact that he thinks this team can stretch the field with Antonio Brown or Emmanuel Sanders. Or the fact that his offense was suppose to help protect Ben. Get the ball out quicker. He has Ben taking a step backward not forward. Ben was better in Arians' system than he is in Haley's. That should be enough to get him fired. We are talking about a franchise QB here.

Do you honestly think BA's offense would work any better with the current personnel (Adams, Foster, Velasco, DeCastro, Gilbert, Paulson, Redman, Cotchery, Brown, Sanders)?

Would it be great?....No, but I believe it would be better. Arian's offense was better suited for Ben's style of play. He got more out of Ben.

Definitely.... Jones would stay on the field, Wheaton would be our #3 and yes... Ben would take more hits but he would throw more 10 to 15 yarders which would force the D to back off a little or get burned after a few RUTFM.

It wasn't great but it was effective...Sanders would also be in routes that would benefit him instead of trying to imitate Wallace.

Yes, I do and here's why:

    1) It allowed Ben Roethlisberger to play football the best way he knows how
    2) Arians offense used players strengths and put players in a position to succeed

Arians offense was pitiful in the red zone, but Haley's is pitiful for the entire 100 yards of grass. An offense that does the following is idiotic, IMO.

    1) Takes Sanders and Brown out of the game to run an end around with the slowest WR on the team is a bad idea
    2) Running the ball three times to start the game, because that's how they did it in the 70s is a bad idea
    3) Trying to run behind a TE that is incapable of laying a hand on an opponent is a bad idea
    4) Not giving the most productive 1st half running back one touch in the 2nd half is just plain ignorant
    5) Giving Isaac Redmon anything more than 5 plays per game isn't going to strike fear in any defense
    6) Actually believing that you're somehow fooling an NFL defense by splitting Redmon out wide as the 5th receiver is a joke
    7) Not turning the game over to Ben is the biggest blunder and for that reason alone Tomlin should have jerked the headset form him

A coach should put players in a position to succeed; it appears that Haley is trying as hard as he can to ensure that the offense fails.

i agree, the OC stinks... HOWEVER, this team is more talented than the OC makes them appear to be. With Ben and it has enough talent to at least be a playoff team... if that moron would just use him properly.

Rank the teams in our division for offensive talent.
We are WITHOUT QUESTION third by a GIGANTIC margin.
We have the best QB (most important player true) but two QBs are "good" players.
Outside of QB Cincy AND Balt are better AT JUST ABOUT EVERY OFFENSIVE POSITION.

At this point in the season considering injured players who are unavailable:

    Running backs- Horrible
    Oline- Horrible
    Tight end- Horrible
Receivers- average at best, possibly below average

Outside of QB we do not have A SINGLE STRONG OFFENSIVE UNIT.

THIS WILL NOT BE A STRONG OFFENSIVE TEAM.

This team was 21st in scoring LAST SEASON (336 points) with Wallace and Miller AND Pouncey.

We are 21st THEN LOSE ALL OUR Probowl players? That is a BAD offense.

    You wanna Blame Haley?
We SCORED EVEN LESS (325) in Arians last season with those three players.

Our ONLY CHANCE for a playoff is for the defense to carry the offense, difficult in todays NFL.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher
