A poll dancer could take the focus off the other guys for a whole lot less $$$

Not implying that Mendy was without his errors in judgment, but I thought he was mismanaged by Tomlin and staff. Just an opinion.

Agree with Flippy on this.

Kind of like that scene toward the end of "Slapshot" ... that would draw fines in Goodell's NFL.

Willie Colon avoids suspension, not fine

Thursday September 19, 2013 3:15 PM By Greg Logan

“The good news,” Willie Colon said Thursday in the Jets’ locker room, “is that I’m not suspended. But I was fined.”
A lot? “Yeah. I’m going to appeal.”
Newsday's Kimberley Martin learned from an NFL source the amount of the fine is $35,000.
The Jets’ guard was caught up in a melee near the end of the loss to the Patriots a week ago that began when center Nick Mangold dove at New England defensive back Aqib Talib as he was going out of bounds after intercepting a pass. When the Pats gathered around Mangold, Colon and tackle D’Brickashaw Ferguson came to his defense as a scrum erupted.
Colon said the league told him he was fined for making contact with a referee and for firing a few jabs at opposing players. Because he was focused on defending Mangold, Colon said, he didn’t feel the referee trying to pull him away and was unaware he had pushed an official off of him.
Earlier this week, Ferguson was hit with a $15,000 fine for his role. As for Mangold, he said he hasn’t yet heard from the league about any disciplinary action and remains “cautiously optimistic.”
