Either way you cut it folks, the injury bug continues to kill us....Le’Veon Bell expected to miss 6-8 weeks with foot injury

APThe news isn’t great on Steelers rookie running back Le’Veon Bell, but it’s not as bad as it could have been.
Following the reports that Bell suffered a Lisfranc injury, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Bell is expected to miss six weeks. Jason La Canfora of CBS put Bell’s recovery time at six to eight weeks.
If that is indeed Bell’s recovery time, the Steelers wouldn’t exactly be happy about it, but it could be worse: The Lisfranc injury that Bell suffered can cause players to miss much longer than eight weeks.
A second-round draft pick, Bell had been expected to become a major part of the Steelers’ offense. That may still happen, but the Steelers will open the season with Bell on the sideline and Isaac Redman, Jonathan Dwyer and LaRod Stephens-Howling as their running backs.

Playing Fantasy Football does not qualify you to be the in the front office or on the coaching staff of the Pittsburgh Steelers. They are professionals and you are not!
1. Eric Ebron, TE
2. Calvin Pryor, S
3 (Comp). Jaylen Watkins, CB
4. Justin Ellis, DT/NT
5a. Brandon Coleman, WR
5b. Brent Urban, DE
6. Prince Shembo, OLB
7a. Aaron Colvin, CB
7b. Storm Johnson, RB
I understand the training staff probably couldn't help with this, but given all the injuries we've had, should the Steelers be looking at their conditioning/strength and training staffs with closer scrutiny? Seems like our guys have been dropping like flies for the last couple years.
I told everybody this yesterday that if....he had a little less severe injury that Speath had, then he would be out a minimum of 6-8 weeks, and look at this...I was right. But, that time frame is ONLY if he has the surgery. If he doesn't, then 90 % of the time when athletes refuse surgery, they will ALWAYS never fully recover from that type of injury, and usually always have reaccuring issues with it. So BEST case scenario...to me is Bell won't be ready to fully play all out til...week 8 at the earliest. Which means, we should just make Dwyer our starter. Give him the 27-33 carries a game EVERY GAME no matter what, and go from there.
