In past years this was an issue, but under the new CBA, rookie salaries are essentially slotted (for all intents and purposes).

My favorite quote form an article about Jarvis signing and Landry being the lone draft choice that is unsigned.

Jones, a quarterback from Oklahoma taken in the fourth round, is expected to sign very soon. He and Jarvis Jones are not related.
This made me rofl.gifLandry and Jarvis aren't related, really?

1.22) Alvin "Bud" Dupree, OLB/DE, Kentucky
2.56) Senquez Golson, CB/S, Ole Miss
    3.87) Sammie Coates, WR, Auburn
    4.121) Doran Grant, CB, OSU
    5.160) Jesse James, TE, PSU
6.199) Letterius Walton, DT, Central Michigan
    6.212) Anthony Chickillo, DE, Miami
    7.239) Gerod Holliman, FS, Louisville

Iím gonna protect him from himself (James Harrison). He and Will Allen are too old to be working right now. - Mike Tomlin

Technically they could be brothers from other mothers and both took their dad's name. But given Jarvy's dark complexion, Landry's mom woulda probably had to be Albino for this scenario to work.

Landry is more related to Jarvis' Subway food statue than Jarvis is, complexion-wise.
