obviously, that's not true, but, my point is that's a weak argument. dude, he came off the street... and STARTED... he may not have been a stud, but, apparently, the guy he replaced was BAD at that time and it wasn't even close (or you don't call Max; you just take your growning pains expecting him to be even or better by year's end).

Simply put -- Each game, there are 22 guys (plus special teams) who each contribute in some way to each win.. his contribution made a difference. maybe not a super bowl difference, but, it made a difference. You're talking about taking an 8-8 team and making them weaker, by some degree...

Let's hope the young guys have grown significantly in one year and are better than him, by a bigger degree....
