    quick thoughts draft and sanders

I loved Sanders in his rookie season, and even last year., he seemed to know how to get open and where to be on the field to keep the chains moving. However, after 3 short years his time is up in the burgh not due to his skill set but of cap numbers.

I am hoping we trade back in the draft and get more picks... maybe end up with 3 2nd rounds and 2 3rd rounders... there is a lot of talent in those rounds (wr, te, rb, lb,s) who can contribute this year and the future.

I like the idea of trading back in the draft to get more pics..because we have so many areas of need. Also agree with your thoughts on Sanders.

i believe he's saying give up the first, for 2 seconds... and not have a first... those 2 along with the one we have, would be 3...

Yeah, I can see how we give up a first for someone else's 2nd, but not 2 2nd's.

you need a partner with 2 2nds... (Bengals or Dolphins, for example)

Dolphins seem like a likely team to try to jump up to 1.17... That would be sweet to get two additional seconds..

Is our 1st worth 2 2nd's in the "points" system?

If Sanders isn't signed and we get a 3rd and we trade down and pick up 2 2nd rounders then I think we have an opportunity to really improve this team. We need draft picks and we need to hit on those picks especially at ILB, Safety, WR and RB.

I think when I looked at it, the dolphins would have to add a 4th or 5th in addition to the two 2nds to make the math work.

I seriously doubt they would make that deal.
