Baltimore Safety ED REED near deal with Houston

Talk about rebuild, the Ravens are tearing that defense apart. If Reed does sign with the Texans Flacco better find the end zone on a regular basis...that's if he gets on the field.

    Look how many they lossed.

I don't know who is dropping faster like a rock in a pond - Pgh or Balt. We could be looking at the North being flipped upside down, with it looking like:

    Cinci
    Browns
    Ravens
    Steelers

    It could happen.

Last time I heard he left Houston without a contract, maybe waiting for other teams to visit or reviewing his options.

I thought I heard it was a done deal. Then I saw this. Damn Pitbull.

It's official, Reed signed a two year contract and the Ravens lose another cornerstone of their defense. He probably made the right choice where he got more money and a better chance to be in the playoffs.

Honestly... I wish we would have dumped a few old heads after our last SB appearance. The Ravens have no problem letting guys go and in the long run it will pay off.

The Ravens aren't just dumping old guys. Ellerbe, Kruger and Williams were all young. I don't think they will be as bad as everybody thinks next year, but they have lost a lot of talent from that defense.

Maybe, but losing Anquan Boldin in their offense hurt them too, he was a reliable receiver for them especially in the playoffs where he came up big. It's probably good what the Ravens are doing for the long term in regards to their cap by letting high priced players leave.
On paper the Bengals appear to be the team to beat in our division, with them it all depends on how Dalton plays, they have the other pieces to make some noise.

I saw S Bernard Pollard signed with the Titans. Mass exodus at that position for the ratbirds.
