He ran a 4.46 at his pro day...hardly plodding...

If the o-line can stay healthy, they can help make 100 yard rushers out of Dwyer and Redman...imagine what they can do with Wells...

His pro day doesn't require pads and a helmet, right?

    He's an injury prone gimp.

We need speed at RB. Not three guys who do the same thing.

I read from a Lolly blog that if they sign him that the team will pull the tender on one of the other backs regardless of whether they sign it or not.

It isn't speed that makes a great RB in the NFL. Vision, quick feet, balance, and unmeasureables. A guy who can catch & block. Give me a guy with all of that and thick thighs & runs behind his pads...I will show you a feature back that will play at a high level for 6-8 years.

As far as Wells, he has been banged up. If he is injured, I don't want him. If he comes cheap, he would be worth the risk. Still draft one too. The Steelers are an injury or a miss on a draft pick away from scrambling through the trash of FA during camp. You have to get another body in here with a NFL resume and a draft pick. Mendy, Dwyer, Redman, & Batch were "below the line" in 2012. Dwyer, Redman, & Batch are still what is here...You need bodies to challange.

I hope he fails. I would rather address the RB position in the draft. I'm starting to lose faith in the FO, what can they possibly see in him that is such an upgrade over the stop-gaps we have now.

Redman will be 29 during the season. I don't know if they would pull a tender but Redman has shown us all he is going to.
