So much for the Saints being cap strapped.

Can't fault Lewis for going home though.

The FO was getting cheered when they spent like drunken sailors to keep the defense together to the detriment of other positions. It bit us because guys like Harrison and Troy and Ike aren't worth that money anymore. Restructuring always comes back to haunt a team and we have done it as much as anyone.

Well at least we will get a real chance to talk about drafting in the Top 10-12 for 2014. Got to find a positive somewhere.

I'm not as sold on Lewis as most, it took him 3 years to start and had two decent seasons. Wallace will hurt more...

I'm sick of wasting rookie contracts on defensive players who sit for every year but one and then play one good season and leave.

Either LeBeau can start playing rookies faster, or he can go away and get someone in here who will.

What happens when Ike goes in a year or 2? Whose gonna play opposite Allen.

Been saying it for three years. You're wasting you finger strength typing it. LeBeau has all the answers and isn't to be questioned.

This is a step backward, and seemingly a needless step backward. With the glut of corners available, the salaries these guys are getting are not huge, and there would have been room for Keenan Lewis or any of the others that are available under the cap.

What is most disappointing is that after years of corner being an area of need, it was finally turned into an area of strength. Ike, Keenan and Cortez would have been a great top 3 this year, with Lewis and Allen leading the secondary in the future.

Don't re-write history here, Crash. Lewis was immature and not very good early on, which is why he didn't play. Don't you remember his temper tantrum against the Broncos?

Cortez Allen played early because he showed he was ready. It took Lewis longer to get on the field because he developed more slowly. That is on him, not on DL or anybody else.

You've actually been saying it thoughout an era in which the Steelers went to 3 SBs, winning 2.
