My guess is we don't sign him. We are only like 3 million under the cap right?

The Steelers are approximately $3 million under the $123 million salary cap. They will pick up another $5.5 million in cap space June 1 because of the release of guard Willie Colon, but that money is likely being designated to sign their draft picks.
Looks like Butler left the building.....for good!
Why don't they ask Head and Shoulders to take a pay cut?
All 3 FA's we entertained left complex without contract discussions.

Butler was the one they needed to grab.
We're done. 6-10 if we insist on the Rooney/Haley Way
Hard to say we will improve on 8-8 only relying on draft picks...especially if you look at Tomlin's drafts. I think I read that only 3 of 33 players drafted between 2006 and 2009 are still one the team.

That really sucks...Really bums me out that Butler isn't signing with us.
2022 NFL Mock Draft
-------------------------------------------
1. Malik Willis, QB; Liberty
2. Daniel Faalele, OT; Minnesota
3. Dante Stills, DT; West Virginia
7. Riley Moss, CB; Iowa
What's to be positive about? We let Wallace go, Sanders is on the way, and we've done nothing but sign bargain priced crap.
David Johnson? C'mon, what does he add to this team?
This was exactly why they needed to not switch offenses. You had Sanders and AB entering their crucial 3rd seasons, and what happened? Everything they learned for two years was thrown out the window.
And for what? Because Art wants to play games with the most important player on his team.
Wasted a prime season of Ben, and now a major overhaul is happening anyway.
If you call that positive? I feel sorry for you.
Don't feel sorry for me.
What would you have done because you seem to be so smart?
I'd love to hear it.
We let Wallace go?
Are you blind and deaf.
He wanted the big $$$.
Where the f_ck were they suppossed to get it from?
Sanders is an average WR, I'll take the 3rd pick from the Pats.
We lost a 35 year old OLB with an inflated salary coming off a knee and 2 spine surgeries
We got rid of a malcontent in Mendenhall
I was surprised we didn't sign Lewis, but I'd rather trust the guys who've been doing this for a living, then some schmuck on a message board screaming the sky is falling.
Did you ever think our OL might be set for the next few years with some really young talent?
You really think Woodley's gonna come to camp out of shape after this past season?
How the hell do our draft picks get a chance if we don't give them one?
Worilds might just surprise some people this year.
Troy could play 16 games and be healthy.
Cortez could make us forget about Lewis with his 1 career INT.
Imagine if we get some offensive studs in the first few rounds and are actually in camp to work with Haley?
Stop your crying and biatching ya drama queen.
Ya never know until ya do
