sure, but he needs to lower his asking price:

Trib's @MarkKaboly_Trib just told me on @937theFan that Victor Butler is commanding 5-5.5M and #Steelers might only want to pay about 3.5M

Perhaps that's why the Steelers and Saints both passed on him. Bad news is, the Clowns have a lot of money to spend, so they may just spend it. Otherwise? He may come back around.

Thats ok. We like it when stupid teams overpay for mediocre talent.

Butler rebuffs Browns, heads to Philly

Posted by Mike Florio on March 25, 2013

The Victor Butler tour continues, with no end in sight. And Butlerís journey has now taken him back to Pennsylvania.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Butler wrapped up a visit to the Browns without signing a contract. Heíll now head to Philadelphia for a visit with the Eagles.

Butler, a free agent who started his career with the Cowboys, started his effort to find a new team with a trip to see the Steelers. He also has visited the Saints.

The obvious conclusion is that Butler wants more money than anyone has offered.

As the days tick down to the draft Butler's price will come down. He was trolling the teams and nobody bit.

Signing Butler at that 3.5 would be a pretty good deal for the Steelers. You let him & Worilds battle it out for ROLB and the loser backs up both. Just consider that Butler isn't a reflection of what they think if Worilds. If they sign nobody and Woodley or Worilds goes down, you could have Carter, Robinson, and a rookie to turn to. THEY NEED competition at OLB in the worst way. Woodley needs to be looking over his shoulder everyday and they need to get everything out of Worilds and crew to replace Harrison.
    1st (T-D) Kelvin Benjamin WR
    2nd Bradley Roby CB
    3a Kareem Martin DE
    3b C.J. Fiedorowicz TE
    4th Christian Jones LB
    5a Dri Archer RB
    5b Kevin Pierre-Louis LB
    6a Beau Allen NT
    6b Shaquille Richardson CB
    7th John Brown WR
