I'm just thinking of William Gay looking pretty bad until Ray Horton was gone and Carnell on the staff. Mark me down for being in favor of a defensive scheme where it doesn't take years to learn the system. Getting players on the field in their first year or two frees up cap space allowing you to address needs and plug holes where you miss on draft picks.
