Besides we had pretty awful special teams play anyways. Not like the guys we were dressing because of their ST prowess really helped us out.
The coaching staff cares, as it hurts the numbers needed for those units if your backup WRs all do not play ST.

Old, slow Plax is still quicker than a TE and he's got old man experience and old man strength. He played pretty well in the RZ for the Jets when he had a chance.

ST would have performed just as well with Plax out there. Our ST stunk to high heavens. We'd have been better off just kicking the ball out of bounds every time.

Drafting a TE early means that between Millers near $8m contract and the millions spent on TE #2, if selected in Round 1, that the Steelers had better have both on the field at all times, because that's a lot of money sitting on the bench if they are not playing 2 TE's.

Not sure that is the direction they will go. If there is one position Chadman might expect a vet player brought in through FA, it's at TE. They'll likely look for a bargain option to fill the position until Miller returns, and we'll see a bit of Paulsen.

Just on Paulsen, his measurables are similar to a TE that Haley has had some success with- Tony Moeaki.

What are the chances of David Johnson playing TE next season?
