When I watch youtube clips of him I see him being doubled a lot when he was lineup at NT/DT/DE. And this is versus guards, tackles, and centers. If he is coming off the edge in a 3-4 at worst he'll see a tackle and on occasion be chipped by a TE or RB. That can only help him. He is going to win most one on one battles off the edge. He is extremely quick. Very raw player though. He is going get better with each year. And when he hits his peak he is going to be a monster.
Just saw a mock on behind the steel curtain but the mock was from Walter football. They had TS taking the Oregon player Dion Jordan. If this player was available would it change your thinking on Ansah-- updated ranking of these players from cbs/nflds 2 *Bjoern Werner DE 1 Florida State Jr 6-4 256 1 4 *Damontre Moore DE 2 Texas A&M Jr 6-4 250 1 8 *Barkevious Mingo DE 3 LSU rJr 6-4 240 1 15 Dion JordanInjured DE 4 Oregon rSr 6-6 243 1 17 *Sam Montgomery DE 5 LSU rJr 6-5 260 1 21 Ezekiel Ansah DE 6 Brigham Young Sr 6-5 270 1 27 Alex Okafor DE 7 Texas Sr 6-5 261 1-2 29 Datone Jones DE 8 UCLA rSr 6-4 280 1-2 41 Margus Hunt DE 9 Southern Methodist rSr 6-8 277 2 67 Malliciah Goodman DE 10 Clemson Sr 6-4 272 2-3 92 Cornellius CarradineInjured DE 11 Florida State Sr 6-4 265 3 110 *Corey Lemonier DE 12 Auburn Jr 6-3 242 3-4 118 Lavar Edwards DE 13 LSU rSr 6-4 258 4 124 *William Gholston DE 14 Michigan State Jr 6-6 278 4 140 Michael Buchanan DE 15 Illinois Sr 6-5 252 4-5 157 Devin Taylor DE 16 South Carolina rSr 6-7 275 5 171 *Stansly Maponga DE 17 TCU rJr 6-2 265 5-6 202 David Bass DE 18 Missouri Western State Sr 6-4 263 6 Also: If TS do not take any of these top players in Rd1. Do you have a later round alternate you like to fill that position. Notice I went down to David Bass. He was one of Big Rob's sleepers. Uhh? All of these players are listed as DE's. Is the plan to convert them to 3-4 OLB's??
