In games that Ben played in:
Avg number of deep passes thrown:
2012 = 6.7
2011 = 6.9
So Haley called as many deeps balls as Arians and the myth of dink and dunk is just that.

Are these designed plays or Ben being Ben? Maybe its a myth but it sure looked like half of our deep passes werent by design. I also think we didn't have enough in the 15 to 20 yard range where our WR's could use their speed.
What was his ypa this year? Pretty sure that was down.
Absolutely no way to know what plays were called vs. audibles.
What constitutes a 'deep pass' in those stats?

Was this YPC or passes that were actually in the air >15 yards? Brown took a few dinks and a couple of dunks to the + 15 yard zone, and that is YPC material.
Either way Ben looked good before the injury.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
