The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?
Light up the darkness.

I will test my "evaluation skills". I have looked at some of the top WRs on tape. I think that Patterson has a shot at becoming the first WR off the board in the first. That is my assesment on him pre-combine. The word I would use to best describe him is "create". One year of TN to evaluate and a couple of years of JR college but watch him in 2012 and he has the highest ceiling out of all of them as an X. Best comparison as of late I could draw is Dez Bryant...A little more athletically gifted. May not be as physically imposing as him yet but he has that type of ability to "create" as a WR before the ball gets in his hands and after he gets it. If Wallace leaves, which appears will be the outcome, I have him in my mock. After the cupboard gets cleaned of pass rushers & ILB, the Steelers next best option at 1st round impact may be at WR & S. Just need a dance partner. There is a possibilty...By the time the combine & workouts end...It won't be a secret & Patterson may be an option @ #17.
I like Patterson, and I don't like Hunter, Woods, or Allen much.
Woods benefited tremendously from lining up opposite Marquise Lee. Plus, his brothers have all busted out in the nfl.
Hunter is big, but reminds me more of James Hardy from Indiana. Not gonna be a playa in the league in my opinion.
Keenan Allen is good, kinda reminds me of Hakeem Nicks, but is coming off an injury.
I think Hopkins will end up being the first WR taken depending on how he runs.
Here comes the BOOM!
Well it appears the kid has his head on straight! If we are talking about a "Dez Bryant" or a "Santonio Holmes" minus the bonehead...I think everyone would be happy with them in the 1st. Going from Wallace, Brown, & Sanders to Patterson/Hopkins, Brown, & Sanders would make me go from "Oh $hit" in March to "Daaaam!" in April. I may be able to sleep again!
Quite a few of the players mentioned in the posts have gotten favorable reviews from a number of scouts and draft sites. The game is on today, Saturday, 4pm on the NFL network. Draft Daddy Blog had the rosters for the game.

That's most of them. Sort of parallels steelbloods lists. Certainly not the top 10 type. But, these are the time of players worth their weight in gold. If teams hit on these later rd picks that surely is a windfall.
Let's see how they do? Any Steelers in there?
Ive seen patterson three times in person and he is electric with the ball in his hands. reminds me of carl pickens back in the day. However, it is generally accepted around knoxville that he rarely, if ever, darkened a classroom door in his one year at Tennessee. Combine that with the fact that even his coaches acknowledged that he had difficulty running the correct routes at times makes me wonder if he has the dedication to succeed at the pro level.
saying that, if we could drop back a few spots and grab him, i could see it. I have a feeling he might just put up some ridiculous numbers at the combine. he is a physical freak.
