If Shea Mclellan can go in the first round of 2012 draft, Chase Thomas will be long gone before RD3.

This is totally going to make Ovi sick. How are we ever going to protect our QB?

For what it's worth, Walter has OT Eric Fisher and OG Chance Warmack coming off the board immediately before us to the Saints at 15 and Rams at 16. If the most important thing in the world is to protect our QB, then you'd have to pass up on Te'o in order to draft UNC OG Jonathan Cooper instead (who he has slotted to the Colts at 24).
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

ESPN's Scouts INC has Warmack rated as number 3 overall player in this draft with the same draft grade as players 1 and 2 (Star Lotulelei and Damontre Moore)

Yup...Luke Joekel and Jarvis Jones rounded out the top 5, also grading out as 96's as well. The next 2 players on their list are Mingo and Te'o (both 95's).

They need to update their list now that we know who has declared and who is going back (they still have guys like Lewan, Barr, and Mosley in their top 25).

Note that when we are losing games and missing the play offs next year because Ben is on the sideline hurt!

Seriously though, if we resigned Starks and Foster and kept Colon I would be OK with that draft. If we let all three go then we have hopes and prayers on the OL and we won't have the offense necesasary to be a serious play off team

Ben didnt get hurt because of the O-line. He got hurt because he held on to the ball too long. The O-line gave up 37 sacks all last year. Which compared to league average isn't that bad.

Another high pick on the OL would just be another hope and prayer...

Walter's mocks are actually 4 rounds now. He also gave us Aaron Dobson, WR, Marshall in round 4.

Here are his comments for each of our picks:

    17. Pittsburgh Steelers: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
I think this is a good spot for Manti Te'o. He was brutal in the national championship, but that shouldn't erase all of his other great tape. He's still the favorite to be the first inside linebacker off the board, and the 16-25 range seems right for him. Besides, this is the type of move the Steelers normally make. They often are able to snag talented prospects who fall to them later in the first round for whatever reason.

The Steelers have shown interest in first-round inside linebackers. They wanted Dont'a Hightower last April, but David DeCastro was just too good to pass up at No. 24 overall. Pittsburgh still has to find an inside linebacker because Larry Foote was awful this year. He finished near the top of dubious rankings like missed tackles and touchdowns allowed by players at his position.

    48. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jawan Jamison, RB, Rutgers
Rashard Mendenhall won't be back next year, so the Steelers will need to find a running back to complement Jonathan Dwyer. Jawan Jamison, who declared for the 2013 NFL Draft recently, will bring an element that Pittsburgh's offense has lacked since the days of Willie Parker.

    79. Pittsburgh Steelers: Chase Thomas, DE/OLB, Stanford
James Harrison may not be back next year. He'll be due $6.6 million as a 35-year-old who is having trouble staying healthy. The Steelers may spend an early pick on a rush linebacker.

112: Pittsburgh Steelers: Aaron Dobson, WR, Marshall
The Steelers never shy away from a play-maker if one provides good value. The butterfingered Mike Wallace could be gone after this season.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
