Where did you get this figure from?

I read the Steelers are projected to be around $12 million over the salary cap at year‘s end.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Suisham earned his spot in the top 20....more than some other guys...

These are just rough estimates, but they will be about 20 to 30 million dollars over once you account for RFA tenders and incentives likely to be earned. It will be way more than 12 million over.

Here is a link that breaks it down pretty well as far as pure numbers:

Can we get enough out of Harrison, Troy, Colon, Taylor to restructure them?

I believe when you restructure a contract you basically expect the player to be able to play for a few more years and stay with the team.
I'd say no to the 4 you mentioned

Yes. It is obscene that M. Vick is making $13M and P. Rivers $15M. So in that sense Roethlisberger is a bargain. I guess when an owner feels he has a franchise QB he will make sure he doesn't walk.

What I'm thinking is can you get another year, 2, or 3 out of these guys at a high enough level to warrant a roster spot and push out cutting them until the cap goes up and we have more room.
