For goofing around, I like Bloons Tower Defense games (monkeys need to pop hundreds of balloons along different pathways with various upgradeable weapons). I have Bloons TD4 now, and just heard that Bloons TD5 is out, so I'll have to download that soon. There's some logic involved, and it gets harder as it goes along (but you earn more bananas to buy cooler anti-balloon contraptions too).

I also like puzzle type games like 100 Floors that I can try to figure out with my kids.

The games my kid's downloaded, like the Angry Birds games, Where's My Water, Cut the Rope, etc. can be fun at times too.

Not much of a gamer, but I like the Sims game. I play around with Garageband more than anything. The ESPN app that allows you to watch games is a good one. Especially during college games bc i can watch two games that way.

I recently got an iPad (and I hope there is no problem reviving an old thread). I mostly use it to listen to the radio using the TuneIn Radio, and IHeart Radio apps. I also stream emergency services communications using the Scanner Radio app. But the #1 app I use on my phone or iPad is Sound Hound for when I hear a song and want to know the artists' name. I look forward to hearing others' favorite apps.

Love soundhound. I also use Show Of Hands a lot. The word processors out there for the ipad suck.
