No rhyme nor reason to these fines and suspension. The standard is .... absent. Uncredible NFL.

I don't know why you said it was sad; was it sad he was ever penalized so much or sad that it got reduced? I don't think the hit was that bad. At most a penalty flag, but not worth suspending or fining. He was trying to make a hit so ES dropped the ball. That is just football in my opinion.

How many suspensions have ever been completely reversed?

I don't like the direction the leauge is going either, but I understand why they are doing it. It was the right call on the field, and if it warrented a suspension on Monday then it should still stand today.

The reversal has me a little bit skeptical, but no way that's a suspendable hit. He shouldn't have been flagged either IMO. It's just a judgement call nowadays in the lightning quick passing NFL.. These plays should be reviewable.

I get so tired of the term, helmet to helmet hit. Players hit that way on every play. How can a player not lead with his head? With his arse? What needs to happen is to make smaller more compact helmets. Or go back to the old small leather ones? These things are monstrosities and difficult not to be involved in FOOTBALL!.

Its sad that the league is not consistent at all with their suspensions. If that was Harrison it would be an automatic suspension and they would laugh if he appealed it. Double standard I think so.

If that was Clark they would of tacked a game on for fighting it. The commish office realized he hit a Steeler so dropped the suspension.

The decision to suspend was made because the nfl said reed was a repeat offender. One may not like the rule but the hit was clearly a penalty and a good call according to the rule.

A day later it's reversed because Reed isn't that kind if player.

    Stink - stank - stunk!
