No rhyme nor reason to these fines and suspension. The standard is .... absent. Uncredible NFL.
I don't know why you said it was sad; was it sad he was ever penalized so much or sad that it got reduced? I don't think the hit was that bad. At most a penalty flag, but not worth suspending or fining. He was trying to make a hit so ES dropped the ball. That is just football in my opinion.

We don't have any cheerleaders but we do have a few of these \m/...
The reversal has me a little bit skeptical, but no way that's a suspendable hit. He shouldn't have been flagged either IMO. It's just a judgement call nowadays in the lightning quick passing NFL.. These plays should be reviewable.
I get so tired of the term, helmet to helmet hit. Players hit that way on every play. How can a player not lead with his head? With his arse? What needs to happen is to make smaller more compact helmets. Or go back to the old small leather ones? These things are monstrosities and difficult not to be involved in FOOTBALL!.
Its sad that the league is not consistent at all with their suspensions. If that was Harrison it would be an automatic suspension and they would laugh if he appealed it. Double standard I think so.
If that was Clark they would of tacked a game on for fighting it. The commish office realized he hit a Steeler so dropped the suspension.
