Steelers Defense Should Listen to Butkus

Butkus was on M&M this morning talking about tackling. Said he played RB in highschool and hated getting tackled chest level and having his arms wrapped up by a defender. Said he didn't like going down and not being able to use him arms to cushion the fall.

So that's the way he tackled. Said guys are more likely to let go of a ball when tackled this way. Also said defensive players have to be continually reminded to go after the ball.

Got me thinking about the Steelers tacklers. Outside of Harrison/Woodley going for the QB arm, Steelers defenders don't really go after the ball that much.

I wonder why? Wonder its a conservative thing where we just don't want to give up the big play vs focusing on taking balls away?
