I know I'm late to the party but I've recently been studying cellular automata which led me eventually to digital physics and digital philosophy.

The implications of cellular automata are mind-blowing, IMO. Digital physics and digital philosophy are pretty out there but I found both of them very thought provoking.

In response to his pleas, an officer said: "You think we've never arrested somebody that's made national media? ... We deal with the Bengals all the time."

Is this like the complex explanation of The Matrix movie? I think I'm gonna have to wait for the Cellular Automation for dummies book to come out before I have a chance at understanding any of this.

God, physics, philosophy, etc are just our insistence that the chicken and egg problem are solvable. I appreciate smart people and their passion. But at the end of the day, the only thing we ever seem to learn is that we know even less the more we learn. So what's the point? Maybe it's all simply to distract ourselves from watching our clock run out. And that makes me wonder which is better - chasing infinity or watching the clock run out? That's like the equivalent of choosing between being a Browns or a Ravens fan. Yuck.
