Anyone hear of any deals on DirecTV NFL Sunday ticket?

    Hi all -

I haven't gotten around this year to signing up for it yet. I remember last year and the year before, people here were posting about great enticement deals DirecTV was offering for that ... anyone hear of anything so far?

    Thanks!

I believe the Ticket is free for new DirecTV subscribers. I think it is 200 or 300 for continuing subscribers depending on which package you want to get.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

They automatically renewed me for the $300 package so I called them up and they reduced it down by $100. So I get the red zone and mobile options for the lower price. It's an annual event for my son and I. We both call every year and see who gets the better deal. Usually it's the same. This year I got a bonus so they are installing a new HD DVR for free. They call it a loyalty bonus.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

    but Go Steelers!!!

Once you go with the HD DVR, you can never go back. It rules on so many levels. It is completely awesome. I got NFL Ticket for free this year. Ba Bye, going to bars to watch games.

    Thanks everybody!

I have to miss the 1st two games live, (big bummer), so maybe I will wait till after that to call them ... might have more leverage then then a few days before the 1st weekend of the season ... they might smell desperation, which is probably blood in the water to them.

You don't need DirecTV for the first game, since it is on NBC in Prime Time, SASF...

Everything is negotionable these days. I recently fired Comcast and went with DTV, after a fairly thorough job of searching for the best deal. Comcast's technical level is no where near DTV's. It's like comparing a horse buggy to a car. And sorry, Comcast, I really don't care if I can get my TV on my smart phone. If I am away from my TV it means I am doing something other than watching TV and that is fine with me. I don't need to watch my smart phone when I am at the pool. I'd rather listen to the radio, preferably Jim Rome, while I float in the water. And, sorry AT&T, I don't need to watch an on demand movie in one room and resume it in another. Like that is some awesome feature or something. It's not. I would never use it. I got a crazy idea: If you need to leave the room when watching a movie, put it on pause until you get back.

YES, THAT IS SO BOGUS. IOW, if you are a loyal customer, if you are asleep at the wheel and don't call in for any reason, they charge you more than new customers. I called in, because I wanted the Red Zone only channel (which friends told me they have). DirecTV told me that is not the case, so I wasn't able to get it. But they tried to offer me this "deal" (lowering my price from $349 to $199... AS IF IT'S ANY SORT OF DEAL! I was not happy that they would use such bush-league tactics like this.

Companies do promotional things all the time.
I'm just happy i get to watch the Steelers games and whatever game I want. Growing up at the mercy of the local stations or relying on going to a bar to see a game...I am more than happy to spend a few hundred bucks a year to get the NFL Sunday Ticket
