    Starks Removed from PUP List

    Great news:

Wexell reported earlier this morning that the Steelers plan to have Starks start at LT this year, barring a setback. Even if he starts, I think Adams will end up playing at some point, either at LT or RT, and I think the year as a reserve will serve him well.

Good news. Let's hope they bring him back slowly. Yet again the most underappreciated player in recent memory may become one of the most important.

IMO Adfams will play this year only in the event of an injury to Gilbert or Starks or to give someone a breather. He could very well be inactive for many games. I think he will be a good player, but he needs to go back into the oven because he isn't quite fully baked yet. Still a little soft in the middle.

It will be interesting to see what the Steelers do on game days. With Foster getting time at RT and Gilbert at left, I wonder if the plan is for the gameday backups to the Foster and Legursky. I'd prefer an arrangment that doesn't require shuffling 2 positions in the event that Starks gets dinged, and I think that Adams/Legursky allows that flexibility. Should be interesting.

We don't want to see any scenerio where Adams is starting this season. He was raw in college...no way he is ready for the NFL. He will need some time...at least one season...and probably two before he is starter ready. So this is great news.

I don't think the Steelers are as worried about Adams as some of the fan base. It's still WAY early and I've read on a few occasions about players being impressed with him while run blocking. He just wasn't ready for the speed. He needs James Harrison in practice and he'll turn a corner OR find out that he's really not ready. Harrison off the PUP only helps Adams.

James Harrison actually practicing...that is a whole other issue

Who will practice first: Harrison or Wallace? I'm not so sure it will be Harrison. I think we have seen the last of the "great" James Harrsion as a real difference maker.

When you put quotes around the word great, you are implying that James Harrison has not been a great player...
