Hmm. No way he names him Terry. Too many folks would think of the wrong Terry in Pittsburgh.

Hoeppner Arians Roethlisberger. That flows trippingly off the tongue.

Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

I don't know how far along she is.. but if the baby comes early .. this could interfere with Super Bowl preparation!!

    Roethlisberger’s wife pregnant with boy

The Steelers might have found their quarterback of the future.

Ben Roethlisberger and his wife, Ashley, are pregnant with a son, the couple announced Saturday on the Steelers quarterback’s website.

“Ashley and I are proud to let you all know that we are expecting a baby boy later this year!” Roethlisberger wrote. “It is truly a blessing, and we are so excited!”

Roethlisberger declined further comment through his agent, Ryan Tollner.

The Roethlisbergers were married last July in a private ceremony at Christ Church at Grove Farm in Ohio Township. They held a private reception at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Downtown.

It’s been a busy offseason for Roethlisberger. The two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback turned 30 in March and graduated in May from Miami (Ohio) with a bachelor’s degree in education. He was four courses short of graduation when he declared himself eligible for the NFL Draft in 2004.

He since has become one of the most successful quarterbacks in the league, leading the Steelers to victories in Super Bowls XL and XLIII. He has thrown for 26,579 yards — 1,410 shy of Terry Bradshaw’s franchise record — and 165 touchdowns in eight seasons.
