Steelers hire quality control coach
Wednesday, February 29, 2012
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Coach Mike Tomlin has tentatively filled out his coaching staff with the hiring of Shaun Sarrett as the Steelers offensive quality control coach.
Sarrett, who has coached at Duke since 2008, replaces Harold Goodwin, who joined Bruce Arians as the line coach of the Indianapolis Colts.
Tomlin has not hired anyone to coach the running backs, hoping Kirby Wilson can recuperate from severe burns during a Jan. 6 fire at his home to resume that role this season.
Sarrett also spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Marshall University and played at Kent University. He coached tight ends in addition to his duties as quality control coach at Duke.
