A pic of some of my neighbors

I went to the Big Thompson River in Loveland, CO yesterday to do some fly fishing (I did quite well, thank you), and saw about 250 of my best (tasting) friends along the way. Took a few pics. Thought you might enjoy seeing elk.

About two miles west, town starts to get real. Just before that, a guy with a big front yard had about 30 or son in his yard. Pretty cool.

They are tasty! We've been blessed to be able to harvest the critters for the last four years.

Hope you enjoyed your fly-fishing day. That's a sport I haven't taken up yet...I doubt there are any endeavors more relaxing than wading in a stream on a pleasant day, trying to hook a big brown trout.

It is amazing. I actually went WAY off the beaten path and really loved it. I tie my own flies, so it makes it doubly fun.

Where do you live that you get elk?

Nice. We looked at moving there. The teacher's pay is just way too small for us. My son is in Anaconda now for school.
