Uh-Oh! Remember my thoughts on Pouncey?

"what do u do for a living besides bothering me right now ... " Pouncey tweeted.

"I will idiot!! you enjoy your lame life!!

"your a loser Rick! get a life I hate people like u! dont talk about my life dumb [expletive].

    "unfollow me then loser!!

There is no question that Pouncey is a great football player, but, like I did when he came out of a game for flu like symptoms ( a game that had playoff implications), I still have to question his character. I think these comments show some of this character. Not good.

Ron Cook had an article about this for the PG:

Why he was promoting a rapper so soon after the loss is beyond me.

Living in Florida and knowing lots of kids who were in the student body with Pouncey I think you are worrying about nothing. Never heard anything except that Pouncey is a class act.

Can't expect everyone to be eloquent when dealing with idiots. Best not to have a twitter account. I can't understand why these guys feel they need them.

If the comments to him were unprompted, I can see an argument on his behalf. But he was called out (rightly so IMO) for promoting a rapper within hours after the loss. Even if you don't care about the team, at least pretend that you do and show some self control.

He was criticized for what he did immediately after the Steelers loss. Not so sure those were actually idiots.

From Cook's article in the PG....

A little context is in order:

Apparently, Pouncey, who did not play against the Broncos because of a high ankle sprain, forcing Legursky to take over the position, tweeted after the loss that his followers should purchase a rapper's music. Some fans were put off by his timing. Moments earlier, the season had ended painfully for his team -- their team -- in the Rocky Mountains. They also weren't happy that Pouncey missed another big game. The guy might be an All-Pro, but can you count on him? He sat out Super Bowl XLV in February with a similar high ankle sprain. The Steelers lost to the Green Bay Packers, 31-25.

Yep!! If those were idiots then Pouncey created them by his actions. But personally I think they were just fans who love the Steelers and were put off a little by Mr. Pouncey.

Now this is an issue I can side with you on Dub.

This was incredibly stupid on his part.
I lost a bet about Najee gaining 1300 yards.

"Our head coach has failed to win a playoff game for seven years in a row. His game day strategy, culture of divas, in game decisions, clock management, player evaluation, hires, and affinity with sub par starters at RB, P, and OL are holding the Steelers back. That standard remains the standard"

His tweets were not 'Santonio like' but he did use terrible judgement in timing. Right after a playoff loss? Sheesh.

Interesting that Cook didn't bother to publish what the fans said.

doesn't matter.... fans always say crazy things and it's up to Pouncey to show restraint or get off of twitter.
