Steel Maniac's Time-Based Prediction: Lamar Jackson will be a bust and total flop in the NFL.
What Actually Happened: Lamar Jackson became the youngest two-time NFL MVP winner ever.
Gloat gloat gloat
Boom........Knuckle up. Punk.
My IT guy...Hahahahahahaha
Yeah, was thinking the same thing. For the 24th pick the Steelers choose...
Lawrence Timmons! Wait, we all know how well that turned out. Paid top dollar for a rookie that had to "learn" for his entire rookie contract. Timmons "learning" is probably the most expensive training of all time. The outcome? An average player.Originally Posted by DHSF

are you really ragging on the steelers draft history? timmons is probably the worst first rounder the steelers have had in recent years and that is very impressive. i think timmons is a good player and hasnt come close to reaching his potential. there is no team in the nfl that drafts better than the steelers in the first round and maybe in the entire draft as well.Originally Posted by jhansle1
What do you guys think about Janoris Jenkins. He's a top corner that no one is talking about.
He'll probably end up in Cincy because of his marijuana charges. And he's sorta small for a Pittsburgh corner. But he seems like a guy that would have high potential value in the 2nd half of the first round based on talent.
What do you think about Pacman Jones because you would essentially be getting the same type of player.Originally Posted by flippy

In all honesty, if we draft ANY secondary position I hope it is a FS.
We are very thin at FS. Mundy is a SS, not a FS.
Call me crazy but I don't see a huge need right now at cornerback especially in the 1st round.
Ike got a new contract
Lewis, Curtis Brown, Cortez Allen, and Gay
That's 5 cornerbacks right there. I think we all agree that Brown and Allen showed a lot of promise. Lewis had his best year. Gay, well he's ok....
I'd rather go FS, Guard or ILB. In not particular order.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
And if we draft a FS, he'll see playing time in the nickle and dime packages. A FS won't start as a rookie in our system most likely. So our secondary will likely look like:
FS: Clark, Rookie
SS: Polamalu, Mundy
CB: Ike, Lewis, Allen, Brown, Gay
