    RuthlessBurgher's second round mock

1(33) Patriots (From Carolina) -- OLB Justin Houston
2(34) Bills -- QB Colin Kaepernick
3(35) Bengals -- QB Andy Dalton
4(36) Broncos -- DT Marvin Austin
    5(37) Browns -- DE Da'Quan Bowers
6(3 Cardinals -- OLB Akeem Ayers
    7(39) Titans -- C/G Rodney Hudson
    8(40) Cowboys -- CB/FS Aaron Williams
9(41) Redskins -- QB Ryan Mallett
10(42) Texans -- FS Rahim Moore
11(43) Vikings -- CB Brandon Harris
12(44) Lions -- CB Curtis Brown
    13(45) 49ers -- CB Ras-I Dowling
14(46) Broncos (From Miami) -- DT Stephen Paea
15(47) Rams -- WR Torrey Smith
    16(4 Raiders -- C/G Stefen Wisniewski
17(49) Redskins (From Jaguars) -- WR Leonard Hankerson
18(50) Chargers -- OLB Brooks Reed
19(51) Buccaneers -- DE Jabaal Sheard
20(52) Giants -- RB Mikel Leshoure
    21(53) Colts -- G/T Ben Ijalana
22(54) Eagles -- CB Shareece Wright
23(55) Chiefs -- OLB Sam Acho
24(56) Patriots (From Saints) -- RB Ryan Williams
    25(57) Seahawks -- CB/FS Marcus Gilchrist
26(5 Ravens -- WR Titus Young
27(59) Browns (From Falcons) -- WR Randall Cobb
28(60) Patriots -- OG Will Rackley
29(61) Chargers (From New York Jets) -- ILB Martez Wilson
30(62) Bears -- DT Drake Nevis
31(63) Steelers -- CB Davon House
    32(64) Packers -- DE/DT Jarvis Jenkins
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Looks reasonable. I think Wisniewski is a late 3rd prospect though.

His uncle Steve has a solid career with the Raiders. Undead Al likes speed and legacies.

I hear you. I think that would be the only way he goes that early.

I think Devon House for the Steelers is very reasonable. I am really hoping Dowling falls but don't see it happening.
    Trolls are people too.

If the Iggles or Seahags nabbed House before us, my fallback pick with be Kenrick Ellis. Although it would be odd to go back-to-back DL, if it's the best available player...then it's the best available player. We'd get Casey Hampton's heir apparent and an aging DL would suddenly become a young strength overnight. We'd have the dominant Steeler d-line of the Aughts (Aaron Smith-Casey Hampton-Brett Keisel) on the roster at the same time as the dominant Steeler d-line of the Teens (Ziggy Hood-Kenrick Ellis-Cameron Heyward), so each of the kids would have a personal mentor on staff, and they could all rotate in and out to keep everyone fresh at all times. If we did that, though, we'd almost be forced to go DB-OL-DB in the next 3 rounds though (Curtis Marsh or Jalil Brown, then Joseph Barksdale or Jah Reid, then Cortez Allen or Buster Skrine).

House as a 3rd rounder, I guess I could live with. But not at 63. He's too inexperienced. And has alot of technique issues. Reminds me of another Ricardo Colclough!

I would not complain if we took Ellis at 63. Like you said D Line would suddenly have a youth movement and have their own mentor to help them with with their development in the D. Again agree with you we would be forced to go DB OL DB

Realized that I forgot to include Kyle Rudolph in there somewhere in round 2. He'll be in there somewhere.

we have hamp, hoke, zig, smith, keisel, and heyward at defensive line.

along with eason and some PSers.

who's place does another fairtly high DL take?? will it be another case like Gibson where we try to sneak him on the PSA and wind up losing him?
