Will Steelers Ever Trade Up Again ??

I think the last time the Steelers traded up ( first round anyway ) was to get Polamalu. We are usually drafting late and other than hitting rarely in the 3rd and 4th rounds, we really haven't done too well in rounds 2-5. Shouldn't we occaisionally package our 1st and 2nd ( or 3rd ) to move up for a need position ( CB ). Usually, the really super-quality guys at OT or CB are gone before we pick. Add to this the fact that the Steelers usually find a quality UFA or two and the draft picks become less valuable.

This is a deep draft, like last season. It would be wiser to trade back if possible. But, if the right player is there, I have no problem with trading up a bit. It will all depend on how things unfold.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

We also traded up for Santonio as well.

Difference maker in the middle needed to replace Shazier.

Offer picks 1.28 & 3.92 plus WR Martavis Bryant to ARZ for pick 1.15. They only have 5 draft picks now, plus their WR's are undersized (John Brown & J.J. Nelson both 5'10") or old (Larry Fitzgerald 35 y.o.).

Gets us ahead of BAL at 1.16, who's looking to replace the retired ILB Zach Orr.

    1.15 Georgia ILB Roquan Smith 6'0" 225
    2.60 Stanford FS Justin Reid 6'1" 204
