Would would you give it to?
Player A: 17 solo tackles, 6 assists, 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery
Player B: 10 solo tackles, 1 assist, 4 sacks, 1 forced fumble

... and the answer is, it was given to Player B, Robert Mathis, over Player A, James Harrison.
I haven't seen much of Mathis, but I don't understand how Harrison doesn't get the award. He was absolutely dominant in the TN game. Against the Bucs, even though he didn't have a big stat line, his huge hit led to Keisel's INT.
Hopefully Harrison feels snubbed and plays angrier than normal (if that is possible).
Yeah...i was waiting for this thread to start and almost started it myself earlier but got pulled away from my desk.
what an attrocity?! Oh well. Harrison probably doesn't care anyway...but WE do!
"Who's Robert Mathis?" - James Harrison
"That's all right, let the boy have the award......I prefer being undefeated after three weeks." James Harrison.
Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, hear the lamentations of their women.
And a case could be made for Timmons too.
Mathis may have won the battle but he wont win the war.
Since you were the pre-season Nostradamus, Ill take your word for it.Originally Posted by sentinel33

not like it matters too much but arian foster put up 200+ yards on the colts defense. didnt see the game but mathis couldnt of made too much of an impact. hard to believe that harrison got snubbed. he has been an animal this season, much like he was a couple of years ago. if he keeps this up he will win his 2nd DOP of the year award.
The battle should have been between Harrison vs Timmons. Timmons wins it hands down.
