    Breakdown

I'd love a good game breakdown from someone that got to watch the game. Down here in Redskin land I had to suffer through New England / Cincinatti and NY Giants / Carolina.

    Re: Breakdown

I'll start it off, others can fill in the gaps:

    1) Dixon - 3 or 4 or 5 potentially game losing passes. 1 got intercepted. The others were right into the arms of defenders just about, but were dropped. He seems to go blind to underneath coverage.

    2) Dixon - About a 55 yard on the money to Wallace, and two or three awesome throws (with awesome catches, mainly by Hines) to save the game.

    3) SKippy - Record long FG (about 53 yard); missed the potential game winner from 40 just at the end of regulation - which forced OT. Oh, and he had a touchback too.

    4) Starks out on a cart (bad ankle injury). Hampton out with a Hamstring.

    5) Troy - circus interception that should have won the game except Skippy shanked the subsequent 40 yarder.

    6) David Johnson (??) springs Mendy for the ?? 50 yard scamper in OT to win the game.

    7) Timmons looked great!!

Defense looked great, but on 2nd look, gave up at least a couple of critical 2nd or 3rd and longs at the end of the game.

    9) Flozell with 1 false start, and frankly didn't seem to be much of a road grader.

    10) THere's more too, but I'm fried!!

We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!

Would have to add that Randel L did not make us demand that the Rookies play.. His decisions and toughness fielding kicks was a God Send.

I think saying Timmons looked great might be selling him a little short. He was disruptive and the extra weight helped him in the run game big time.

The Wood is not off to a slow start.. He wasn't in mid-season shape but he was a factor.

The Defense is back - that was a very good Offensive ball squad even without Jenkins and we played them out of the end Zone..

Our kick coverage team has improved.

    just my 2 cents.

Timmons was a major disruptive force. The other LB's played well too. And Troy's interception will be on his highlight reel when he goes into the HOF.

I said it in the chat... I think this was Timmons best game as a Steeler.

Troy was the best player on the field today.

Redman was a signficant contributor, too, some tough hard runs. Love the Pony backfield.
