Earlier this year, my father told my mother "Happy Bettis Anniversary" but she didn't get it.

Thanks, guys. I missed this since it was on a Saturday and didn't check in over the weekend. I supposed wearing my Bettis jersey this year is appropriate
Not thrilled about being on the wrong side of 30 now, but hey, what can you do, right? If it means getting ring #7 this year then I'm good with it!

Unfortunately this will be the last B-day thread I start. I put them in the Steelers forum because that's where everyone sees them so they can feel appreciated if it's their birthday or offer up something if it's someone else's.
No point in continuing to do it if they'll just end up in a forum the majority of the posters never go to.
The bday threads are nice gesture. However, they do belong in this forum.
I understand that the Steelers Talk gets the most traffic and that is fairly obvious. However, that doesn't mean that anything and everything should be posted there.
It's another initiative of mine to get users to become more interested in the other forums such as the NFL Draft, General Discussion, NFL Talk, Comments, etc. That way the topics are categorized correctly.
If we get in the habit of posting topics (& moderators moving topics ) to the the the corresponding forums, then this will by default gain more interest in these other forums. Users will then know that there are discussions occurring in those "other" areas.
Like I said, it's pointless now. 'twas fun while it lasted.
Thanks for your efforts
