Steeler need to get agressive and pick up Mankins and Fargas

Mankins should be looked at closely. The Colon loss is huge.

You want to play him at RG? Do you think the Pats would trade him to us?

Yes. Get the worst C in the league in Hartwig out. Put Pouncey at C. Kemo and Mankins at guard and Trai Essex or Jonathan Scott at RT.

I'd rather trade for Marcus McNeill if we were to get one of the RFA linemen, considering that Mankins is a guard and I have never heard of Donald Penn.

What about any guys that may be available for trade that aren't RFAs who will want paid a ton. I'd imagine at least one team out there has an extra OT that they would be willing to let go for the right price. In a situation as bad as this, if no one shows they can fill the gap, then a 2nd rounder next year wouldn't be out of the question to trade away.

I'd only let go of a 1st for McNeill probably.

Nice. I didn't know McNeill is available. I would take that trade instead. He is a two time pro bowler RT. Is he an UFA?

McNeill is a RFA. It would cost a 1st & 3rd to get him- as I understand it.

    I like Mankins- but

    A. he plays LG- so you'd move Kemo to RG- still leaving the RT position unresolved.
    B. he is going to want big money.

Fargas is / was a very good short yardage back. But I think he is a bit undersized for the role- particullarly when considering BAs non-usage of a Full Back- which I'm pretty sure Fargas had the benefit of in Oak.

yes, Mankins wants a long-term contract with lots of zeros in it...the Steelers aren't the type of team that's going to give that to him.
Steel Maniac's Time-Based Prediction: Lamar Jackson will be a bust and total flop in the NFL.

What Actually Happened: Lamar Jackson became the youngest two-time NFL MVP winner ever.

I have a feeling the Steelers are not quite as scared as we are. With that said, I personally think the situation is very serious and would rather grab a solid RT.
