Steelers' Upcoming Season's Quick Schedule Analysis

    Quick Schedule Analysis

by EnglishSteelerGotBanned on Jun 21, 2010

    My predictions:

1 Sep 12 ATL @ PIT Heinz Field - One sentence, we don't lose home openers, simple as that. W

2 Sep 19 PIT @ TEN LP Field - A tough game, no doubt a possible loss here so I go for a L. L

3 Sep 26 PIT @ TB Raymond James Stadium - One of the worst teams in the NFL. W

4 Oct 03 BAL @ PIT Heinz Field - Without BB and against a strong Ravens team I don't like this. L

    5 Bye

    6 Oct 17 CLE @ PIT Heinz Field - Clowns..... W

7 Oct 24 PIT @ MIA Sun Life Stadium - With BB back at the helm and a young QB for Miami. W

8 Oct 31 PIT @ NO Superdome - Defending SB champs and probably the best team in the NFL. L

9 Nov 08 PIT @ CIN Paul Brown Stadium - I think the Bungles regress, they don't sweep us this year. W

10 Nov 14 NE @ PIT Heinz Field - I don't like NE this year, no OL and no running game. W

11 Nov 21 OAK @ PIT Heinz Field - Lightning doesn't strike twice, simple. W

12 Nov 28 PIT @ BUF Ralph Wilson Stadium - Worst team in the NFL in my opinion. W

13 Dec 05 PIT @ BAL M&T Bank Stadium - Hopefully we are on a run by this point but Bmore in Bmore is always a tough prospect. L

14 Dec 12 CIN @ PIT Heinz Field - I think we reverse last seasons results so we beat Cincy here. W

15 Dec 19 NYJ @ PIT Heinz Field - That D is as good if not better than ours, and a great ground game with a maturing Sanchez. L

16 Dec 23 CAR @ PIT Heinz Field - I don't like their chances with a rookie QB or Matt Moore against our D. W

    17 Jan 02 PIT @ CLE Cleveland Browns Stadium - Clowns. W

So I see us getting to 11-5 with this schedule. Feel free to comment and tear down my ideas.

I enjoy looking ahead as much as the next guy. But it's usually futile. I really am never sure what to expect about the other teams.

And I always expect us to be on the verge of greatness.

So I'll go with all Wins, again.

Nice post, but as stated it is a little early to tell, but what the heck. I agree with most of your logic, but the Steelers play to their opponents level most times and I see them beating the Saints. They will be "up" for this game. My predictions are:

    Atl - W
    Tenn - W
    TB - W
    Bal - L

    Cle - W
    Mia - W
    NO - W
    Cin - W

    NE - W
    Oak - W
    Buf - W
    Bal - W

    Cin - W
    Nyj - L
    Car - W
    Cle - W

14-2 (OK, maybe a little optimistic)

    I am thinking 10-6 or 11-5.

I think we split w/ Cincy and Baltimore.

I think we will win all the games except for the ones we lose.

What prize do I win when my prediction comes true?
