I have a pretty good feeling about this season as well. I think we strengthened up the areas that needed it. Got a lot of promising young players I think. And brought back some familiar vets. Probably just need for Lefty to get us through those first games and we'll be clicking.
Ben will be winning people over again before long.

The problem I see with this analogy is there is no father in this story. No one welcomed Ben back without question. Everyone is against him, just like the brother in the story.

The Steelers didn't stand behind Ben immediately. Pittsburgh didn't. The fans didn't. The league didn't. Ben stood alone.

And that immediate acceptance was the biggest part of the story of the prodigal son.

I see Ben winning as Ben's alone and proving people wrong.

Yes but that was part of the journey Ben had to go on and learn to stand alone. In the story he had to take a job as a swine farmer. Ben being thrown under the bus by everyone is his equivalent of taking a job as a swine farmer.

How come all soccer fans are hot and we get this?

HawaiinSteeler, you need to find us some hot Steelers fans for this thread.

How else will we win #7?

And if you know any female Steelers fans at the games, insist that they dress more like soccer fans!!!!!

And I don't care if it's too cold.

    That's not the point.

This team needs what it needs!!!!!!

I'm in, of course. Great job, flip. I'm also visiting Pittsburgh for the first time in about two years this weekend, and I can't wait to get back! I don't plan on breaking into Heinz Field to get pictures of it, however.

    Here ya go, Flip...

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
