that is all.
that is all.
I have no ill-will toward the guy anymore.
He wasn't a homegrown Pen's product, drafted and given his first chance with the team. He wasn't even a FA who decided they wanted to be here.
Hossa was acquired as a playoff mercenary in a trade. Sure he declined a long term deal from the Pens and bolted for Detroit, but the guy took a one year deal to go where he thought he could win. Can't blame him for that at all in this day and age of athlete's always chasing the security of a long term deal and going to the highest bidder.
As soon as he was handed a big plate or crow as Crosby skated away with Lord Stanley's Cup...all was forgiven and he was just another player.
Besides, I'd much rather see him win it than Hartnell.
I echoed those sentiments in one of the threads over the main Steeler board when the subject of the Stanley Cup came up (can't remember which thread it was now).Originally Posted by D Rock
I woulda made the same thread about a different player if Philly won. I hate them too.
This was like a Ravens vs Cowboys SuperBowl to me. Yuck!
Feel free to say the same thing about Scott Hartnell even though Philly lost.Originally Posted by flippy
