Whats with all kickers this year? Are they looking to replace Reed?

Maybe they are taking a radical approach to improving the Special Teams by finding a kicker who can actually kick the ball into the endzone at a radical rate of more than 3 times in an entire season.

They always bring in a second leg for camp so Reed doesn't overwork his leg.

Perhaps Piotr Czech has been underwhelming in OTA's (haven't heard much about him this year, either good or bad).

This Ratanamorn kid was 15-17 on FG's last year and 34-34 on XP's. Last year, he was 7-11 on FG's and 25-26 on XP's.

In terms of his kickoffs, this season, he kicked off 60 times with 11 touchbacks and 2 kicks out of bounds (62 yard average). Last season, he kicked off 37 times with 5 touchbacks and 1 kick out of bounds (62.7 yard average).

We wore #92 at Marshall (good luck getting that from Harrison)

He has played soccer (goalie) as well.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Wow, the Steelers found another player that can long snap? They asre unbelievable at evaluating long snapping talents. I realize how difficult it is to long snap and to have two long snappers on the Steelers is a blessing. :P

    Reed and Czech are placekickers.

    Sepulveda and Graessle are punters.

Perhaps they thing might be an upgrade over Czech (like they thought Stewart was an upgrade over Retkovsky because of his flexibility to also be able to play linebacker if needed).

I'll take Reed. His ability to kick FG's in Heinz fiels is fantastic. Get some players on ST that can actually cover a kick and no one would be tlaking about his kick offs. Towards the end of last season - a ton of those kicks were part of a plan to kick it high and shorter to allow the guys to get down and hopefully cover and actually tackle the return man (what a novel concept).
