You hate all the negative stuff surrounding Ben's stupid decisions and his apparent attitude problem, and believe that we should be talking about the upcoming season, a play-off run, contending for another Super Bowl, etc., and yet your first post back after 6 months off is to link to "piling on" article by Sports Illustrated that reads like mudslinging political campaign ads (and has already been discussed on this board)?

If you hadn't noticed, we had been moving all of these Ben topics that aren't directly related to Steeler football, and putting them in the "Around the NFL" subforum, but no one has posted over there in over a month (check it out...last post was April 21). We've all moved on and are talking about OTA's, the draft picks, roster predictions, etc. instead. No one (except for our friendly neighborhood Rod Smart wannabe) is talking about the Ben situation any more.

If you were really sick of Ben discussions and wanted to talk football, you should have started off posted in one of the OTA threads instead of rehashing more Ben drama.
No, I guess I hadn't noticed...OMG, ban me if you have to!!!!

I'm not totally referring to the discussions solely in this forum, or any other forum.
I'm talking about all the other media outlets like ESPN, and NFLN etc. I'm
talking about when I have casual conversation with other Steelers Fans, and
fans of other teams. Those conversations seem to be one-sided, and always
start with "What's up with Ben"?

So Ruthless, maybe, just maybe, you can jump off that high friggin horse
    your rode in on.

As Steeler fans, we all know exactly what you are talking about regarding ESPN, NFL Network, fans of other teams that constantly ask what's up with Ben, etc. We are all sick of that as well. I was explaining to you how folks on this board have moved on from that drama over a month ago (well everyone except for one guy who does nothing but spout off his "Ben is a rapist" propaganda here every so often) and we are now talking about actual football topics, which is refreshing. Feel free to join us by talking real football and not anymore Ben-bashing garbage like the article you linked to here. Just don't stab my high friggin horse with the Fork of Great Douchebaggery.

    for another SB.

It's like getting punched in the stomach....I still haven't been able to catch my breath
    yet...

As far as the Steelers handling the situation, I think they did the best they could do under the circumstances. Trading/Releasing Ben would not have been something
I would have liked, but I have and will most always agree with what the organization
does. I will live and die as a Steelers fanatic, with or without ANY player.

I just want the season to start!!!!!!!!!!

This stuff will linger for the entire season.

We just have to accept we have a troubled QB. And we're sticking by him.

He's been just as troubled while we were all rooting for him in the past, so why change now?

At the end of the day, we're fans of football players because of what they do on the field.

And they're all troubled in some way off the field. We're all flawed. They're all flawed. It's life.

There have been consequence. For some they'll never be enough.

The only issue I have left is that the Rooney's and Steelers pretend they're holier than thou. But they really just run the Steelers like a business and they're really like any other frachise - they just don't have as much money or alternate revenue streams like some of the bigger markets so they must act differently than other owners.

But when they let Ben, Harrison, etc. slide, but get rid of Cedrick Wilson, Santonio, etc., I do lose some respect for the organization that doesn't walk their talk.

So I feel the gut punch too. But it is what it is.

And maybe we as fans shouldn't be as wrapped up in football as we are.

Not posting probably made your life better, so it all works out for the better.

Glad to see you're still around and kicking.

    Sorry your fork's value plummetted.

Another SuperBowl or 2 might fix that for you.
