Rounds 2 and 3 - Best Remaining Players (total rankings)

Sorry for the post length. Here are 4 independent top 100 lists in order (subtracting out the 32 players already chosen). This should give a good idea at who could be available at the Steelers spots (52 + 82) based strictly on overall rankings since teams will likely be trading up like crazy. If anyone has ESPN INSIDER I'd be interested in seeing Kiper's and McShay's.

Re: Rounds 2 and 3 - Best Remaining Players (total rankings)

Given those, my Steelers wish list would look like this.....

    (round 2)
Dominique Franks - great at off man and zone coverage. Teams avoided him this year.
Koa Misi - good pass rusher, tackler, playmaker. Could play 3 of 4 linebacker positions.
Cam Thomas - Position flexibility. Can play NT and DE in the 3-4.
Bruce Campbell - Has skill to become a great left tackle. Tomlin can motivate him.

    (round 3)
Alex Carrington - great nickel pass rusher/3-4 DE
Brandon Spikes - if he falls, he'd be a great value.
Brandon LaFell - Underrated imho. Big target, tough, runs good routes, breaks tackles.
Mardy Gilyard - a poor man's santonio, which is pretty good in the 3rd.
Perrish Cox - 1st round talent with some off the field issues, worth the risk here.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

I would add Golden Tate, Damien Williams, Ben Tate as Round 2 candidates and Toby Gerhardt as a Round 3.

IMO Spikes, LaFell and Gilyard will be available in Round 4.

Toby Gerhart, Linval Joseph, Sean Lee, Brandon Spikes or Vladimir Ducasse would be good by me, with Ducasse being the least favorable.

Now that Terrence Cody has fallen out of the first round, is he a possibility?

Could we take a chance on:

    Round 2
    Bruce Campbell
    Taylor Mays

    Round 3
    Akwasi Owusu-Ansah

Those 3 guys to me seem like they'll either be All Pros or complete busts. Those 3 are freakish athletes. Bruce and Akwasi seem like gambles we must take if they're there since they are freaks at such premium positions.

By no means do I think these picks are safe. But there's just too much potential upside to pass up imho.

Campbell or Mays would be hard to pass up with our second round pick if they were to fall to us....

I think Cody is a real possibility in the second. But, where is Ghee on that list...many sites had him as a top 10 db.

    I would love in order

    Round 2

    1) Tate
    2) Williams
    3) Cody
    4) Gerhart
    5) Franks

    Round 3

    1) Jordan Shipley WR Texas
    2) Jason Worilds DE Virginia Tech
    3) Torrell Troup DE
    4) Brandon Ghee
    5) Linval Joseph

AOA may be gone by the end of Round 2 or early Round 3. Lots of buzz about him. Steuber projects we take him in Round 2 on Scouts.com
