    Posted about an hour ago . . . Interesting . . .

    1. I think Ben Roethlisberger is going nowhere.

I've been wrong before, and I'll be wrong again, and I don't doubt that the Steelers might be thinking internally about what to do with Roethlisberger. But I think the snowstorm of Roethlisberger's-on-the-block stories is a bit overblown. Since Roger Goodell's suspension of Roethlisberger, I've had two teams with picks in the top half of the first round of the draft -- teams with clear quarterback needs, teams not in the Steelers' division -- tell me they hadn't heard a word from the Steelers about dealing for Big Ben. No communication whatsoever. If the Steelers were going to make a decision this big, wouldn't they survey the field completely instead of half-heartedly? Again, I'll be the first to admit it if I'm wrong, but I don't think he's going anywhere unless he has some issue with the completion of the terms of the suspension.

He certainly raises an interesting point.

Hate to agree with Peter King, but I think he's right. Just doesn't makes sense that any team in the top 10 with a need at QB (St. Louis, Oakland, Buffalo, Seattle, etc...) not to be working tirelessly to trade for Big Ben...

Hindsight is 20-20, but I said this before. These trade rumors were concocted by the Steelers FO to raise the seriousness of the situation to Ben. They were not seeking to trade him.

Every TV I walked by this evening seemed to have a story about the "possible trade of Ben Roethlisberger".

If it was all a lesson in fear and reality the Rooney's wanted to deliver to Ben, I imagine it must have been very succesful.

We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!

HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!

Yes...and it became cruel once they introduced Oakland as the trade partner.

Nothing was worse than seeing on ESPN Deportes in Cancun that Ben was suspended "seis partidos" and that he was being shopped around for anything in the top "diez selecciones". Eff!! I almost ****e my swimming trunks.

Glad to see some people didn't go overboard with the rumors.

    Lets get past this...

32 teams talk to 32 teams every year, period. The only reason we were having this conversation is because of the typical media BS trying to make chicken salad out of chicken sh!t. Ben is a douche for putting himself in this situation, but as usual the media enabled this to be blown out of proportion for their benefit. I just hope Ben grows up and learns from this so we can move on as Steeler fans with as little further embarrassment as possible.

Loved how the little minion Schefter "reported" on Wednesday that the Steelers have reached out to numerous teams, then on thursday "reported" that the Steelers have called no one, and that they were not actively shopping ben. Do you think he even knows that he contradicted his own reports?

Then, today on Mike and Mike, was as arogant as could be abotu how he knew Claussen wasn't going in the first round. I guess the key is to always be arogant, cocky and sure of yourself, no matter how many times you miss, and hopefully noone will notice.

Yeah, you're absolutely right. I guess when it comes down to it they really don't know a whole hell of a lot more then the rest of us. I wish I could get payed for that sorta thing!
