hello charley, who do you think the steelers will be selecting with their first round pick on draft day? after they released santonio holmes do you think they would draft a dez bryant or stick to a corner like kyle wilson a position of need???

    Charley Casserly, Former NFL GM
I would stick to more of the position of need with the Steelers. When you look at them, inside LB and both of the lines are bigger needs to me than WR. The receiver need is there, but really, they'd do well by just taking the best player available.

Okay Charlie, could you be any more wishy washy.

Sentence 1 - I would stick to more of the position of need

Sentence 2 - they'd do well by just taking the best player available

    way to hedge your bets.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

    but Go Steelers!!!

Criticize the man all you want but you all know he is right. Do not downplay his wisdom. The Steelers value his take. I guaranty you they will either stick to a position of need or take the best player available.

The man is like a prophet.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Actually look closely and you will see why nobody wants him as a GM.

Sentence 1 - I would stick to more of the position of need
Sentence 2 - they'd do well by just taking the best player available

Conclusion: If he were the Steelers GM he would take a position of need rather than BPA against his own better judgement.

When a man comes down on both sides of a two sided fence, his opinion is useless. Yeah, I just made that up

Come on. Hedging his bets? Not true at all and kinda harsh.

I'd say "covering all his bases" would be much more acccurate.

Actually, if he comes down both sides of a fence that's kinda...umm..might leave it alone, given our troubles with "Little Ben"...
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

What does a one-sided fence look like?
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
