The length of the investigation doesn't necessarily mean that charges will be filed. If there was an abundance of evidence (for example, if the "rape kit" at the hospital showed strong evidence of assault), charges could have been filed immediately. The DA may find that even after investigators looked into all avenues, there isn't enough evidence to make a case.

I'm with you on that. But it seems like if they were going to press charges that they would have by now. Hopefully they have done a very thorough investigation and are about to close the case. Fingers crossed on that. Now Ben needs to never leave his house again!

Doesn't sound like it is completely closed per this article in today's PG.

Wish it was. Cannot believe that this seclusion and stress will not affect Ben on some level. Ryan Clark said in his interview on ESPN that when they hit the field, Ben is totally focused.

Between this and Holmes, the season may start out to be a little rocky.

Just think if they come out when the investigating is done, and totally make this chick look like a money grabbing hoochie. Would be hillarious if they came out and said Ben did nothing wrong at all and this drunk chick was just gold diggin' and in reverse, they press charges on her for making the whole thing up or something. Probably never happen but I would laugh if it did.
