Just proves what fairweather, uninformed fans they have that the seattle sports media and their fans wer not ripping holmgren a new one for botching up the end of that first half. That definitely should have gotten at least 3 out of that, if not 7. But as could plainly be seen during the game, holm-grown was still going on about one of the questionable calls; he was totally distracted, not focused on what was happening at that moment and it cost his team crucial points. If that had been Cowher that had botched the clock management up at the end of a half, Pittsburgh fans and media would have been absolutely trashing him AND his front yard (haha, remember Tommy's yard after one of those last gams he botched - Jacksonville maybe?). But nobody hardly mentioned Holm-groan's point-costing gaffe in Seattle which tells me they are nowhere near the passionate and informed fans that we are.

Also, adding to the above list of reasons why seattle lost, our punting game, and therefore field position game, was completely superior to theirs and made a difference. Three times (out of Seattle's first 4 drives!) their punter Tom Rouen kicked touchbacks instead of pinning us deep in our end, another crucial fact never mentioned by seattle and their "fans". (The very next year they even went out and drafted a punter in the 7th round). On the other hand, I believe Gardocki may have kicked one touchback but otherwise did his job when called upon.

Pretty sad that instead of taking the time to acknowledge how their team's mistakes made the difference in a close game that it was the refs who won the game for us (or lost it for them). Us Steeler fans would have complained about the calls but we would have closely analyzed and critiqued our teams mistakes and realized we lost the game due to all the obvious reasons mentioned in this thread (giving up big plays, missed scoring opportunities [coaching blunders!] and poor special teams play). There are few part-time fans in the Steeler Nation. It's damn near a J-O-B, complete with responsibilities, being a Steeler fan

That's a nice choker, but I noticed it has 2 metal rings on it. Can you get him one with only 1 ring on it? I don't think he'll be getting that second ring any time soon...

^^ Ruth - I'll look for one, on second thought why not keep it as it is to remind him of the one he couldn't get!!
