ignore the needs at OL, Secondary and DL and draft LB Sean Weatherspoon at 18. I think that is a real possibility and something to watch develop over the next month.

Trade our 1st to San Francisco for 1/31 & 2/63 & 4/127
1) Jesse Williams-NT-Alabama
2) Jamie Collins-OLB-So. Miss
2) David Amerson-CB-N.C. St.
3) Andre Ellington-RB-Clemson
4) Kenny Stills-WR-Oklahoma
4) Tony Jefferson-S-Oklahoma
5) Nico Johnson-ILB-Alabama
6) Sean Renfree-QB-Duke
6) Micah Hyde-CB-Iowa
7) Justin Brown-WR-Oklahoma
PFA's- David King-DE-OU, Chad Bumphis-WR-Miss. St, Luke Wilson-TE-Rice, Michael Ford-RB-LSU, Baker Steinkuler-DE-Nebraska, Vaughn Telemaque-S-Miami
Or rationally assess the depth of the draft at OL, Secondary and DL and draft the Best Player Available at #18 (who will actually play alot)...CJ Spiller, RB, Clemson.Originally Posted by steelerkeylargo

That is a possibility, but which starting group is by far the oldest? We have a young QB, RB, OL, WR's average age is 27, LB's average is 28, secondary is 28, but the DL averages 32. I realize we went DL with our first pick last year, but if Jared Odrick is availabe at 18, he may get some serious consideration.Originally Posted by steelerkeylargo

Hmmm....so what do you think? You've probably seen him quite a bit at Penn State?Originally Posted by MeetJoeGreene

I don't know if they will take a DE 2 years in a row... unless they are switching to a 4-3.

Odrick is my pick. I think he would be a great end in a 3-4 defense.Originally Posted by Lebsteel

I won't be surprised if Steelers draft an OT in 1st Rd and OG/OC in 2nd Rd. Improving O-line would improve 3rd and short/Red Zone struggles.
Steelers Draft
Rd 1: Cordarrelle Patterson - WR
Rd 2: Sio Moore - ILB/OLB
Rd 3: Christine Michael - RB
Rd 4: Shamarko Thomas - SS
Rd 5: Lerentee McCray - OLB
Rd 6(a): Ryan Griffin - QB
Rd 6(b): Micah Hyde - CB
Rd 7: Vince Williams - ILB
Just really don't think this happens. They have 5 returning starters and I think they will take a wait and see approach with the new OL coach and how he can improve what he has.Originally Posted by grotonsteel

I wouldn't be surprised, but I'd be very disappointed. Weatherspoon is a tough player. He runs well in a straight line and tackles well. But, he has average lateral agility and has ALWAYS had trouble getting off of blocks. If you watched the bowl game against Navy, you'd agree that this cat is a second round talent.
If we chose Weatherspoon over Spikes that would be really poor.
2013 Draft
1 Ezekial Ansah OLB BYU 6’5 271 (sky high potential)
2 Khaseem Greene ILB Rutgers 6’1 241 (cat quick, explosive hitter)
3 Steadman Bailey WR WVU 5’10 193 (fantastic route runner)
4 Le’Veon Bell RB Michigan St 6’1 230 (Good fit for zone scheme)
5 J. J. Wilcox SS Ga Southern 6’ 213 (athletic, fluid in coverage)
6 Omoregie Uzzi OG Georgia Tech 6’3 302 (quick, zone gem)
7 Micah Hyde CB Iowa 6’ 197 (rangy corner with speed)
7 Vinston Painter OT Virginia Tech 6’4 305 (athletic OL project)
