Polamalu to appear during Super Bowl -- in ad
    Wednesday, January 13, 2010
    Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Steelers safety Troy Polamalu may have missed most of the regular season but he'll still be a part of this year's Super Bowl, even if his team won't be playing.

The cable channel, truTV, said it's planning to include Mr. Polamalu in a spot touting "NFL Full Contact," a new show promising a behind-the-scenes view of professional football. truTV had been Court TV until it was renamed in 2008.

The Super Bowl ad is scheduled to appear during the second quarter, before the two-minute warning, according to the announcement.

Last year, Mr. Polamalu was featured in a Coke Zero ad that aired during the Super Bowl. He was also, of course, on the team that won.

He has gone Hollywood on us.
I lost a bet about Najee gaining 1300 yards.

"Our head coach has failed to win a playoff game for seven years in a row. His game day strategy, culture of divas, in game decisions, clock management, player evaluation, hires, and affinity with sub par starters at RB, P, and OL are holding the Steelers back. That standard remains the standard"

I'm just glad it's not another Head and Shoulders ad.

"You asked with your eyes" is almost as bad as the Ben "Hello, TV land" FatHead commercial. Almost.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
